Meet Carolyn!
My name is Carolyn Wiezorek. I am a lifelong Dubuque county resident, an educator and a proud Iowan. I am an educator by trade and am dedicated to strong public education. I have taught students from kindergarten through graduate school and served as an elementary school administrator. I am determined to always put people over politics because Iowans deserve better.

The Issues
Education
I want to ensure that Iowa's schools are restored to their best in the nation status. This means strengthening them by supporting our teachers however we can, and making sure that public money stays with the public schools. I also want to make sure that our AEA's are supported, as they are crucial in providing services to all students in Iowa.
Rights for ALL Iowans
I want to ensure that the laws created and passed in the State House protect Iowans from all walks of life. From LGBTQ+ Iowans, to women, to workers, to children, I want to make sure that we respect and protect rights for every Iowan in the state.
Accessible Healthcare for All
I believe that healthcare is one of the most pressing issues facing Iowans right now. When elected, I will fight for access to healthcare for our aging population, and ensure that all Iowans have access to the mental healthcare that they need.
Strong Local Economies
I know that there are so many Iowans struggling with costs right now. That is why I am supporting strengthening local economies through investing in and supporting local businesses, and increasing access to essential social services.
Protecting Our Resources
Protecting the environment is one of the most important issues in the state of Iowa, as so many rely on a stable environment for their livelihoods. When elected, I will focus on supporting and strengthening our states land, air and water.
